Jennifer's Bodies 2015 Line Up - Short Films Category - Patricia Chica Double Feature - Serpent's Lullaby and Ceramic Tango!

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that I will be showing not one....but in fact two films from multi-award winning Canadian filmmaker, Patricia Chica.

I have only recently discovered this amazing filmmaker, and my only regret is not having done so sooner.  Having recently filmed an absolutely genius segment for Jen and Sylvia Soska's Massive Blood Drive, I find Patricia utterly fascinating in that she weaves through various sub-genres of horror so effortlessly, and with not only a wonderful sense of style and vision..but also an incredible passion and understanding towards the darker side of our existence.

First up is her most recent film, Serpent's Lullaby which follows a reclusive woman who holds the secret to a series of mysterious child disappearances in a small northern community.

Following Serpent's Lullaby is her 2013 short, Ceramic Tango.  A short as dark and beautiful, as it is thought provoking...it would be criminal to not screen it at the same time.  :) 

After receiving grave news, a young man spirals into a deep depression, leaving him vulnerable to the will of a dangerous intruder.

CERAMIC TANGO is a modern-day cautionary tale that incites viewers to pause and think about the fragility of life.
